WORKSHOP OVERVIEW:
The higher education industry is facing a combination of external challenges that will necessitate substantive changes to the operating models on many campuses. However, to date, little attention has been paid to the internal features of our institutions that make this kind of change difficult. This session will examine the biggest barriers to change on campuses around the country.  While some of these factors feel outside of our control, we argue that leadership will play a key role in creating a paradigm shift that will empower teams to cut through the noise.  To close the session, we will offer a people-focused framework for change management, and help you identify the systems and tools that you’ll need to implement.

Takeaways/Learning Objectives: (1 CPE)

 Identify barriers to change in higher education
 Describe the role of leadership in creating change-readiness
 Develop a people-focused approach to change management
